What is a Learning Disability?
A Learning Disability is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects the way a child processes, understands, stores, or expresses information. Children with Learning Disabilities have average or above-average intelligence but may experience significant difficulties in reading, writing, spelling, mathematics, organization, or academic performance. Common types include Dyslexia (reading difficulties), Dysgraphia (writing difficulties), and Dyscalculia (math difficulties). These challenges are not caused by lack of motivation, poor teaching, or intellectual disability.
